Nuclear Bunker of Ligatne

Explore the unique Ligatne top-secret nuclear bunker, preserved since the Soviet era and publicly revealed in 2003, twelve years post-Latvia's independence. This 2,000-square meter facility, dubbed "The Pension," concealed beneath Latvian soil, served as a refuge during potential nuclear threats from the Western countries. It was an escape haven for KGB leaders and the Soviet government of Latvia.
